The Islands
San Juan:
This beautiful place, the second-oldest city in the Americas, was
founded in 1521. You'll feel the sense of history as you stroll
cobblestoned streets or as you sail out past the old forts.
Barbados:
This British flavoured island nation offers awesome natural wonders
like Harrison's Cave, a fascinating and unique history, and some of the
best shopping for arts & crafts in the Caribbean.
St.Lucia:
Mountainous rainforest provides opportunity for superb hiking and bird
watching, while fabled reefs provide opportunity for underwater
exploration. Enjoy the towering Pitons or explore Soufriere, a window
into the 18th century.
Antigua:
With a winding coastline and miles of sandy beaches - 365 to be exact -
this is the perfect Caribbean paradise. Attractions include Nelson's
Dockyard and Great Bird Island National Park.
Tortola (BVI):
Jagged mountain peaks, white-sand beaches, banana trees and palms
compete for attention with the scenic harbor and Main Street shopping
of Road Town - capital of the British Virgin Islands.
St. Thomas (USVI): Pirate legends and pristine landscapes are all part of the allure as are the splendid shops of Charlotte Amalie.
Aruba:
From the Dutch-colonial architecture of Oranjestad to the windswept
desert landscapes of the arid interior, this sunny island invites
exploration. Snorkeling, scuba diving or a round of golf anyone?
Bonaire:
Come explore the kunuku, a Caribbean-style outback terrain unique to
the Netherlands Antilles, where you'll wander among prickly cacti and
green iguanas. Closer to shore, keep watch for flocks of pink
flamingoes.
Grenada:
Cascading rivers, lush rainforests, centuries-old spice plantations,
rum distilleries and the island's fabled sulphur ponds vie for the
visitor's attention on this, the original "Spice Island.
Dominica:
The national motto of Dominica is: "After God, it is the land." And
true to its word, this is a place of rural splendor and vast natural
appeal - known for eco-tourism, it is perhaps the most unspoiled of the
islands.
